Meatloaf recipe
I haven't tasted it yet, but a friend of mine told me about it a few days ago. He would describe it to me as if he tasted it, "minced meat, oil, sauce." But what is this meatloaf recipe?
Can I talk about her as much as he did? Definitely not, but from its simple ingredients and easy steps, it looks like the recipe is going to be very tasty.
Meatloaf recipe ingredients
1 tablespoon of olive oil.
3 cups chopped yellow onions (or 3 onions)
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme leaves.
2 teaspoons kosher salt
A teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper.
3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce.
1/3 cup of chicken broth or soup.
tablespoon tomato paste.
2 and ½ pounds (one and a quarter kilo) of beef, from the shoulder area.
1/2 cup of plain dry breadcrumbs.
Two large eggs, scrambled.
1/2 cup of ketchup.
How to prepare meatloaf
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, then heat the olive oil in a medium skillet.
Add onions, thyme, salt and pepper.
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 8-10 minutes, until onions are translucent but not brown.
Remove skillet from heat, add Worcestershire sauce, chuck steak and tomato paste, and leave to cool slightly.
In a large bowl, gently mix the shoulder meat, onion mixture, breadcrumbs, and eggs with a fork.
Don't mash the ingredients or the meatloaf will be sticky.
Divide the mixture into 6 (10 to 11) ounces, and place each portion into a small loaf in the skillet.
Put a tablespoon of ketchup on top of each portion.
Bake the meatloaf for 40 to 45 minutes, until the internal temperature of the loaf is between 155 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
This dish is served hot.
